How many of them do you still have?

If you do not have every vehicle you ever owned, you leased the use of it. A true lease does the same thing except it preplans the use and allows you to pay for only that value. That allows you to place the money you did not spend in an asset that appreciates… earning more money.

This is a legal assumption clause, not a ‘straw-purchase’ or a sub-lease. All parties know and approve of the transaction. You will be removed from all obligation and the new driver will assume full obligation for the remainder of the contract.

How this is possible when it cannot be done with a financed vehicle:  It is illegal to drive, own, make payments on, get insurance on, or have a side contract on a vehicle financed in another persons name. For financing, the title has to be changed and all liens satisfied. A new loan has to be written and more interest and taxes are incurred.

Unlike finance contracts, the title on a leased vehicle is made out in the name of the lessor so the title does not change. The new driver is simply sent an assumption contract and no new taxes or interest is incurred.

You may want to use this option if at the time your lease payoff is greater than your car value. You would not want to use an assumption if you have equity in your leased vehicle.

If you are contemplating using assumption as a risk-management tool for early termination on a long term-lease, please read these guidelines for the best look-ahead results:

1. We will help you by advertising, selling, and processing your lease-assumption in the future. We charge $59 for that service to cover the cost of advertising and documentation.

2. Your vehicle becomes part of a list and is compared to client requests waiting for assumptions.

3. Preplan your assumption to make it attractive to the new driver by then offering an attractive payment on what will be a short-term, take-over true lease.

4. Do not put money down on a vehicle you plan to have assumed.

5.  Plan to put your lease up for assumption before the end of the year model-run, before a new body is produced for that model, and before the end of the calendar year if possible.

6. Know how many miles will be on your vehicle and how many contractual miles are left when you plan to have your lease assumed.

7. Know that successful assumption can be performed quicker if you increase the available market by offering a lease with remaining value.

A trade vehicle is converted to an amount of money in a virtual sale. An honest depiction of your trade condition is requested when you apply for information from us. An accurate payoff amount is also necessary before a quotation can be prepared. All quotations with a trade are subject to a physical trade appraisal at time of delivery.

Georgia is a trade-difference State, which allows dealers to mark up the price of the car they are selling to over allow for a trade-in on paper. We will not do that because of the deception involved and the bottom-line is the same anyway.

Virtual Trade Value – During the quoting process, the wholesale book value is used, rated by the condition you selected on you request form, supplemented with ‘cash calls’ to expert buyers of the year, make, and model of your trade-in.  If you have been accurate in your trade description, you can expect the quotation value to be right on target.

Actual Cash Value – Any difference shown by  a subsequent physical trade appraisal will affect your transaction in the true amount.  Also, a local CaxMax Superstore will give you an independent written appraisal.

Retail Trade Selling Service – We also offer to advertise and pre-sell your trade for a retail/higher value if it qualifies for a true lease with a prime lender. This service can be very helpful in situations of extreme inequity. There is an up-front cost to cover advertising and process requests for information. There is a sales commission charged for successful transactions. This service is only available to clients committed to purchasing or leasing a vehicle with us as soon as the trade is sold.

Trade Equity – When the trade value is established and compared to the payoff if any, only three things can happen. Either you have a zero balance, you have equity or more often, you have inequity.

If you have equity in your trade you can use it against the purchase price of the vehicle you are getting or have it paid to you in cash.

If you have inequity, you can write a check for it or, as we always suggest,  include the amount in your new lease or financing if available.  Be advised that it is illegal for a dealer to increase the amount of a trade deficit on a finance or lease contract for monetary gain.

We suggest incorporating any prior trade balances into your next vehicle purchase for your comfort, convenience, and monetary reasons. Any money spent paying off a prior balance should be in a bank earning interest. Also, if your new leased vehicle is assumed in the future, your remaining prior balance will be assumed right with it.

We can predict the payoff for any month going forward and remaining interest charges and tax payments are removed*.  The principal balance of the lease above is depreciated by $191.48 each month.  That should align with the depreciation suffered by the vehicle each month.

Of course, it is impossible to predict the actual value of the vehicle in the future at any given month, but the true lease offers the safest and most economical plan for early termination. If you terminate early, not using an assumption, only three things can happen; 1) the payoff is equal to the vehicle value and we shake hands on that deal, 2) the vehicle is worth more than the payoff and you receive an equity check, or 3) The vehicle is worth less than the payoff and there is a deficit to deal with.

If there is a deficit you have three choices; 1) you can pay it if it is small, 2) You can roll it into your next lease and pay it out by the month, or 3) You can put your car up for adoption to be assumed by another qualified driver seeking a short term, low payment lease on that model.

Assumptions are rarely used to terminate early because equity is usually established in a true lease. You wouldn’t want to pass your equity to a new driver.

The actual depreciation suffered is usually less than planned in a true lease on a pre-owned vehicle… creating equity.  Why: A previously titled vehicle has suffered its first and biggest year of depreciation (about 27%). Your lease starts when the depreciation is only 7% – 8% per year for the remainder of its useful life.

Plus, residual values on bank true leases are set low by ALG, Inc., thus increasing the depreciation payment.  Why: The Federal Security Exchange Commission mandates that DDA (direct deposit account – checking, trusts & savings, etc.) funds can only be invested if the investment is secure.

That forces lending banks to purchase residual value insurance on each true lease that they write.  The cost of the insurance is extremely low, but the only company that the insurance companies will write a lease for is ALG (Automotive Lease Guide), the lowest in the industry.

 Experienced staff will re-check the car before defining the limits. In many cases we will not purchase the car regardless of the purchase order in case the car, is in a noticeable bad condition, looks to possess serious mechanical problems, and for the car with a record of accident, if the damage was too severe or the car has been badly repaired.

Wheel Assembly Balance Service

Electronic Heins balancing equipment can balance your turbine wheel & shaft assembly within .005 grams or less.  This service is available during regular business hours. Checking turbine wheel/shaft for straightness.  A bent shaft does not contact bearing races correctly and can cause premature wearing of the bearing(s). If your turbine shaft is bent, we will straighten it on our state-of-the art equipment for no extra cost.
UPGRADE or ADD-ON Turbocharger Recommendation

Unfortunately, we have just discontinued our electronic questionnaire form because we were getting so many submissions that either had insufficient data or were for vehicles that adding a turbocharger or supercharger to a Supra that  were just unrealistic, mechanically and financially.

R31 Skyline the first of the R range, brought a lot of new technologies like the Apexi Power FC, and many features that were changed in later models.
The HR31 is the first of the Skylines, to come out with the RB-series engines.

The RB series engine is mostly talked about as the red top engine due to it’s tappet cover being red. Another first of the R31 was the 4-wheel steering system, named HICAS. The R31 model like the R33 Skyline were also available as a 4 door hardtop version but in the R31 these were called a Passage GT.

My Skyline has not been running great however it hasn’t been a pleasant experience all round, with day one seeing the clutch burnt out and yesterday I knocked off the side of the front bumper. Lucky for me from UPI was there to save the day, he got the clutch fixed and recons the front bumper wont be a problem

Yesterday was one of those days where I did not have much in the way of work to do. Therefore, I decided the car could do with a wash. Well here is a quality washed picture The last post made in this section I explain that plans had already been made to remove that monstrous wing replacing it with a smaller M-Spec Skyline wing.

Well after seeing that big arse wing in the flesh I really like it and have decided to get it repaired. It?s a little cracked and needs a new paint job, you wont be able to tell from the below photo but trust me it does!
Cars always look different from a birds eye view I recon so we got on the roof to check out how the Nissan R33 looked from above. Well the car still looks nice and I think I might get in Well here is one more photo taken last night, we were testing out those intense driving lights!

This single turbo engine, two door car was built from 1994 to 1997, with engines from the 2.5L to the 2.6L twin turbo on the GTR model. With a few changes on the turbo, intercooler and engine computer, this motor can just about double the horsepower. Its yet to be seen just how much horsepower, these motors can make in stock form but its close to 400rwhp.
Increasing the boost on the turbo, and a larger exhausts is the place to start on the standard  R33 turbo.

But if your looking for more power, a larger turbo with steel wheels, and better fuel system will be needed. Right from the start, its better to add the whole package, eg: highflow turbo, intercooler, bigger injectors, Apexi power FC, 3 inch exhausts, a larger fuel pump and air intake.

In this analogy, one consistent, two-fold fact is; ”A car doesn’t know how it is being paid for, so the use–value to you is the same whether you pay cash, finance, or lease.”

 Second, consider that since as a car depreciates, it becomes less useful to you and more expensive to maintain as time passes. Every automobile transforms from good transportation to bad transportation during its lifetime. You don’t want to be stuck in a bank contract for a vehicle that has lost its value to you. You do not want to pay for the bad transportation time-span.  So another buy vs. lease analogy fact is, “You want to ‘get’ only the good transportation and have the flexibility to switch vehicles when necessary.”

Third, a myth believed by many is that you can buy a vehicle, pay it off, and enjoy good transportation without cost in the future. Those folks usually get a long-term finance contract to make it affordable… which forces them keep it, always owing more than it is worth.

Three bad things happen by the time it is paid off; One, maintenance and repair costs have doubled the cost of driving that vehicle, Two, Their personal use-values have depreciated to almost nothing, and Three, The vehicle has evolved from good transportation to bad transportation even though they ‘pre-paid’ it.

So, as a rule when dealing with any depreciating asset, “You cannot pre-pay for good transportation. It is impossible.”

1.  When a vehicle is first consigned to an auction, the seller makes legal statements about its condition. The federal government has laws about vehicle disclosure at auction. The auction itself subjects every transaction to arbitrations policies before paying the seller for the vehicle. So, if a seller misrepresents a vehicle at  registration, he is wasting his time and an amount of money is lost to him for sale fees, buyer fees, etcetera.

2.  When a client shows interest in an auction pre-sale inventory listing, we send our licensed wholesale buyer to make a second physical inspection of the vehicle. He carries a paint meter, evaluates the interior, mechanical components, drives the auto, and uses every component on the vehicle to make sure it is in good working order. 

He files a report of the current condition of the vehicle with us and the affiliated dealer. Thus eliminating any vehicles that do not match our specifications or yours. A written guarantee of excellent condition will be sent to you and made part of your transaction.  The guarantee will be backed by us and the affiliated dealer assigned to your account.

3.  Passing that, we buy the vehicle subject to post-sale ASE mechanic inspection & certification on the auction premises.  That guarantees that we can return the vehicle to the auction if a pre-existing problem is found in the next thirty days and not stated in the report.

4.  The vehicle is then transported to our affiliated reconditioning center for a fourth inspection in their shop.  The vehicle is put in tip-top, ‘excellent’ condition and made ready for delivery to you.

The New GTR
Is the Nissan is faster than a Porsche? Well i guess soon as a well known car magazine gets hold of a GT-R to try out track times and horsepower the rumors will continue. With its price tag of $70,000 US just how many Americans will run out and buy one from the high-volume Japanese manufacturer when the GT-R goes on sale is unknown.

With its credible history in sports car racing performance as it heritage the GTR should do very well overseas. Safety of the GTR and new technology, to eliminate traffic fatalities in its sports car range have made big changes in its marketing. To sell the supercar GTR in America, they will need to show that they are sports car company to stand out from the crowd like the Toyota, Subaru, or Mazda.

The well known specifications of the GTR Nissan build, should show buyers they can compete with the sports car market world wide. Saying they can push out 1,000 new GTR’s each month , But can they move 1,000, 4 wheeldrive twin-turbo 473 hp sports cars with the price range of $70,000 plus US dollars only time will tell i guess.

For Nissan to win over the Porsche drivers, it will surely take some beating to convince consumers to buy the GT-R, over their other well known trusted brand is yet to be seen.
